Where do people get all those Knife Stickers & Decals?

Free Knife Stickers & Decals from Blade Show
If you like stickers, decals, catalogs or any product swag, Blade Show Atlanta is worth the price of admission for that alone!  It offers a chance to pick up stickers and decals not readily available.  While many companies include a sticker with purchase a knife, some companies don’t.  Benchmade, Boker & Kershaw come to mind, I own several and like to label the protective storage cases I keep them in.

I missed out on many Blade Show & Vender Swag Bags because I got there late Saturday.
Show Swag Bags often consists of: Stickers, Decals, Patches, Keychains etc.
Get there Friday or early Saturday for best results buy you’ll get plenty regardless (as I did).

Blade Show Knife Stickers & Swag

Most venders have stickers & decals out for the taking but some may have to be requested including Micrtotech, Heretic, Kershaw and others.  Don’t hesitate to ask; venders are usually happy to supply swag to promote their brand.

The Boker booth didn’t have any stickers for handout but some guy named Zac (looking a bit wild) and his brother hooked me up after showing them my Boker & German knife collection, along with the custom knife storage cases the stickers would go on.

What do people do with all their Knife Stickers?
Knife decal stickers are a versatile way to add personality, branding, and functionality to your gear. Beyond simple decoration, they can also serve practical purposes like safety and improved organization.

Many enthusiasts use them to customize knife cases, toolboxes, water bottles, laptops, and even car windows—showing off their favorite makers in style. While some folks collect these decals as keepsakes, others rely on them to label and organize storage containers efficiently.

Personally, I use knife decal stickers to help differentiate the contents of my protective knife storage cases, knife tool & maintenance boxes, and knife parts bins—making it easy to stay organized, accessible and sharp. kevingittemeier.com/knive-storage/

Are knives discounted at Blade Show?

Is Blade Show a place to find knife deals below retail prices?  Blade Show is best known for debuting new products, limited editions, show exclusives, and custom knives—offering a rare chance to handle models you won’t find elsewhere.  While some deals can be found, getting discounts isn’t the primary draw for most attendees.  Prices may be lower on certain exclusives or rare items, but others may match or exceed typical retail prices.

From what I understand, major knife manufacturers like Kershaw, Hogue, Microtech, and Pro-Tech generally avoid undercutting their retailers by offering lower direct prices.  The one exception seems to be special releases, such as show exclusives or event specials—for example, the Microtech Ultratech ZBP offered at $200, which sold out within the first hour. I missed the chance, but I would’ve grabbed as many as they allowed per person.

For example I had intended to purchase several Titanium Pocket Clips from Lynch Northwest and was hopeful buying in bulk might earn a bit of a discount – but no such luck.  They stuck to full retail at the show regardless of quantity.  I’ll have to keep an eye out for an online sale.

I can often find better deals online thanks to coupon codes, seasonal sales, or discount platforms like AAFES and GovX.  At the show I have had some luck getting discounts from smaller or up-and-coming brands, as well as from retailers that carry the major players like Microtech, Pro-Tech, Kershaw, and Hogue.  Case in point: Knife Joy offered me an awesome price on a Microtech Socom Elite, much lower than even sale prices.

How to Negotiate Discounts at Blade Show with Professional Courtesy

I’m a patient shopper who rarely pays full price.  I am always looking to make the most of my budget, but I believe in respectful and mutually beneficial transactions. My goal is never to pressure a seller, but to find fair opportunities that work for both of us.

When speaking with makers or vendors, I express genuine appreciation for their craftsmanship or product knowledge and acknowledge the value of their pricing.  I explain that I’m trying to maximize my Blade Show budget and ask if there are any considerations—such as multi-item purchases, blemished stock, cash payments, repeat buyer discounts, or social media collaboration—that might make a purchase more accessible.

Whether they’re open to it or not, I always thank them for their time and for bringing their pieces to the show. Even if I don’t make a purchase right away, their knife often remains high on my list for the future.

Why go to Blade Show if no guaranteed discounts?

Handling a knife in person at Blade Show lets you truly assess the fit, finish, and feel—something no photo or spec sheet can fully capture.  You can check how it opens, locks, and balances in your hand, which is crucial for both performance and personal preference.  Plus, you get to compare models side by side and talk to the makers directly, which adds a whole new dimension to the experience. And the stickers!

When it comes to handmade items like authentic Italian switchblades, it’s important to inspect each knife individually. Natural handle materials—especially horn—can vary significantly in color, grain, and texture, and some may have minor imperfections or unique traits that come down to personal preference. For example, see page 2 for a comparison of the color differences between two Latama Brazilian horn models I purchases at Blade Show.

Knives I almost bought at Blade Show

Although I ended up spending more than I planned, there were still a few items I nearly bought but ultimately didn’t.

At the Pro-Tech booth I nearly bought the Large Don (a retro Italian-style switchblade) and the FlyFather 2 (Stiletto inspired) Balisong.  The main issues were price (see my note above on “deals”) and the fact that neither knife was the exact model I was looking for.  I’m specifically searching for the discontinued regular 3.5” Don, not the 4.5” Large Don.  As for the FlyFather Bali, I didn’t love the green color.  Given that, the price and the show winding down (I still have more to buy), I ultimately decided to pass – but I will likely buy both online if I can get them for less the the show price.

  • Pro-Tech Large Don Tuxedo Ivory (4.5” Satin Blade) Model# PT-1951
  • Pro-Tech FlyFather 2 Balisong (4” Satin Blade) Model FF2101-Green

Trim finishes I am interested in for Don or Large Don:
Tuxedo – Black Aluminum w/ Ivory Micarta & Satin Blade
or
Silver Aluminum w/ Carbon Fiber inlays & Satin Blade.

FlyFather 2 comes in three color ways:
Blue, Black 2 Tone, Green Dual Tone.
While I prefer the Black or Blue, I’ll be happy with whichever I can get the best price on.

The Don will go nicely with my Italian Switchblade collection,
And the FlyFather with my Bali connection.

Maserin 502 Power Fat Carbon Fiber
I had planned to add the Maserin 502 to my Italian knife collection alongside the Maserin 373.  In hand though, my sausage fingers struggled deploying the blade with the W-Lock (no thumb stud).  Still, if I come across one at a great price, I’ll grab it.

Microtech Socom Elite
I had been postponing the purchase of a Microtech Socom Elite Manual from Knife Joy until the end of the show, opting for delayed gratification to evaluate the decision and assess my overall expenditure. I was offered a a price significantly lower than any I had previously seen, including sales or military discounts available through AAFES or GovX. (I have purchased a lot of Benchmades half price through AAFES see reddit post).

When I stopped by toward the end of the show, I was low on cash and the credit card reader was already packed and gone.  No big deal, I’ll pick one up next year.  It’ll make a great addition to my other Microtechs and old-school MOD CQD Mark Series knives.

Items I was planning to purchase if I could snag them for less than retail but ultimately couldn’t:

  • Hogue Balista II Black w/Carbon Fiber Inserts
  • Hogue Counterstrike OTF Carbon Fiber
  • Kershaw Launch 8 Auto (retro Italian style)
  • Kershaw Launch 12 Auto (retro Italian style)
  • Kershaw Live Wire OTF Carbon Fiber
  • Kershaw Bel Air Carbon Fiber
  • Lynch Northwest Pocket Clips
