Best Value Military Beater Watch? Casio G-Shock DW5600

We found ourselves shopping for a quality rugged watch for my son before he leaves for boot camp.
We were looking for an effective rugged watch but something cheap enough that if it gets lost, stolen or broken it can easily be replaced without being a financial burden or causing heartache.
While shopping we saw many reviews on Casio G Shock Watches and settled on one of the cheaper models the DW5600E-1V for less than $50.
Its thin, lightweight, rugged and cheap enough that you won’t feel guilty abusing it as it was designed for.

Though while shopping I found another slightly more expensive model I may just buy for myself. See the DW6500 Series below.
